What a song.

Great lesson, like always, but on that opening riff, on the D chord, I hear the G note on the high E string ringing through. Basically play the G, the C and the D chords with the G note on high E string and the D note on the B string. Those never move through the whole opening.

Sorry bro but I could not disagree with you more. Listen to enough Chuck and you will see and hear that he plays 1000 licks and all differently. For sure some tunes sound alike but nowhere near all.

And they are fun as hell to play and people instantly start shuffling their feet...

And 3 chords is more than enough. It is the soul that counts.......

I read a review of Jerry's playing and it said "He is nailed to the chords". I thought that was amazing and so true. To play like Jerry you have to know your chords all over the fret board. I suggest the CAGED system.
