I am neither a biblical scholar nor a classical music expert, but a verse from the bible comes to mind: Rejoice in hope, persevere in affliction, and continue steadfastly in prayer. I can hear each of these in sequence in the three distinct portions of this piece.

MsScarlet I don't ever recall Jerry wearing red excpet a red flannel at one Cali show in the late 90s. You're seeing a pink/red spotlight effect on the for-a-time signature black T that he wore this show.
