This is still the flashback, btw. I changed the intro for the flashback so you'll know what they looked like during those parts. :)

Nick turned to me and sighed, "I'm really sorry about my brother, by the way. He can be a bit... difficult to handle."
I sighed, "It's alright. On the other hand, I'm really sorry about what I just did. You must think I'm crazy or something..." I trailed off, shaking my head.
Nick shook his head and chuckled, "No, no. Actually, I think the opposite. You're actually the first girl that didn't fall for his charms."
"How can I? He was rude to me." I sighed and shook my head.
"Demi?" I heard my mother call out. She came out of the house and saw Nick and smiled at him, "Oh, hello. I'm Dianna, Demi's mother and you are...?" she stuck her hand out.
Nick took it and shook her head, "Nicholas Jonas. I live a few houses down."
Mom nodded, "Nice to meet you, Nicholas." Nick nodded. Mom turned to me after letting go of Nick's hand and smiled, "Demi, after you talk to Nick, I want you to get the rest of the boxes and bring them inside, alright?" I nodded. "I'll see you in a bit." She kissed my forehead before walking back inside the house.
I sighed, "Well, I have to go. Have a lot of settling in to do."
"How about I help you bring these boxes in? They must be pretty heavy." He offered.
I shook my head, giggling, "No, I'm good. Thanks for the offer though. I appreciate it."
He chuckled, "Well, I'll see you around then Demi and I'm sorry for my brother's behavior again." I nodded. "Bye." He waved at me before leaving.

"Good luck on your first day, honey." Mom said, passing me my lunch.
I let out a breath, "I'll try Mom." I gave her a kiss on the cheek before going to school. I got out and saw a car in front of my house. Nick came out and smiled at me, "Hey Nick... what are you doing here?"
Nick shrugged, "I thought you might need a lift to school."
I giggled, "Thanks." I got inside his car and he got in too and drove us both to school. He stopped the car and looked over at me, "What?"
"Ready to see what lies inside that big and scary-looking building?" he said, pointing to the building with the name of the school written on top of it.
I giggled and nodded, "Yes." He shrugged and got out and I did too and we both went inside. "So... any advice on what I should and shouldn't do at this school?"
Nick shrugged, "Most of the people here are nice. Just avoid my brother, alright? You know what happened the first time you met him -- it wasn't pretty."
I nodded, "Okay." He led me to the office where I got my schedule and locker combination. Nick and I were walking to my locker when we heard some noises.
"Oh look, the little sci-fi nerd's crying." I heard a taunting voice say. Nick and I followed the voice and saw Joe and some guys bullying another guy.
"Hey, that's mine." The guy they were bullying said as Joe took his backpack and started laughing with his friends. He had tears in his eyes and had a few scratches in his face.
"Aw, Liam's in Payne!" one of Joe's friends shouted, laughing with his friends at the joke he said.
I grew confused and looked at Nick, "Huh?"
Nick sighed and pointed to the guy being bullied, "That's Liam Payne. David, one of Joe's friends, just said Liam's in Payne meaning he's in pain but they used his last name 'Payne'. Get it?"
I shrugged, "Kind of." He sighed, "Should we stop them?"
"I want to but I can't. Joe's going to kill me if I did that. Remember, we're brothers." He said, sighing afterwards.
"Well..." I shoved my backpack against him, "we're not."
His eyes widened, "What are you doing?" he shouted as I started walking over to Joe and his buddies.
"Going to teach this jerk a lesson." I muttered before stopping in my tracks, "Hey!" I shouted, earning Joe to look at me along with his friends and that Liam kid.
