@BLFulle I read in his book that he didn't seem to be that happy in Minnesota. When the GM told him he had been traded he said to Longley "I have some good news and bads news, the bad news is you have been traded". Longley replied "what's the bad news then?" Apparently the GM didn't find it funny.

Blocking shots may look more entertaining by spikeing it like a vollyball but coach's instruct players to try and only tap it when they block it. It gives your team a better chance of recouping possesion when you block a shot by tapping it rather then spikeing it like a volley ball.

Kwame Brown and Tyson Chandler both audition for the Wizards at the same time. Brown and Chandler went one on one for the Wizards staff and Brown apparantly completely destroyed Chandler it was on this performance that they decided to select Brown.

It was an upset against the USA but sports analysts before the semi-final were predicting that the USA would make the Gold Medal game but would lose to either Spain or Argentina in the final. The team was having struggles before this game so it was not a surprise when they lossed.
