The technical term is "chuck," and it's simply strumming straight on through but following the strum with the back of your palm, so it gives it sort of a scratch/strum/mute sound. You shouldn't have a problem picking it up quickly, so good luck with you...

You have the chords right, but they actually don't strum, they pluck. Nonetheless, this is one of the better covers of Blood I've seen. Great voice, by the way. I really need to earn this song soon!

@minusjason That's quite a common misconception. I actually found it difficult as hell to go from guitar to ukulele. Though the instruments are alike, they are not the same. Smaller shapes, smaller frets. If you're used to guitar, transitioning to a ukulele can be a fickle bitch.
