Rick Obsidious doesn't hate you, but he probably won't like you for more than an hour or two, ha, ha, lulz, just kidding, now on with the show..

What kind of music is this? hmm, I'm not sure, but I'll toss this out there; Alternative, Metal, grungeish, some might say an emo like rock because of the subject matter/lyrics. Also just in case you hadn't figured it out, my lyrics can go from speaking plainly in one line to a riddle wrapped in a metaphor in the next.

Things you might find surprising given my music:

1. I don't smoke
2. I don't drink
3. I don't use illicit drugs
4. I don't go out bar hopping
5. I've never had a "one night stand" and I never will.

If I subbed you, most of the time it's because I think you have something original worth listening to, I don't expect you to sub me, only sub me if you actually like what I've upload, some of the channels I sub (and will be subbing) are completely different from my channel and I know my music isn't their kind of fair. Metaphorically put; it is easier to go from dark to light, then it is to go from light to dark. Also I accept friend request from anyone with a channel related to music or has subbed my channel, with the exception of blatant sub hunters and friend collectors, channels with inappropriate content or are a commercial venture, such as your channel is geared around a sales pitch or promotion for a product or service.

I really like it when young people are creating original works of music, it so great to see when kids do more than just play video games and goof off online etc.. So if that's you and you need some help with something, I'll do what I can to help, within reason that is. Also just to note I won't say things in my comments that I don't believe just for the sake of encouraging you, said simple; "I say what I mean and I mean what I say"

A Very Abbreviated Background:

I was active duty Air Force and retired from the service in 2004 after 20 years.

I was once married, I have two sons who are 19 & 20 we don't get along because their mother taught them to be the two faced backstabber that she is, we've hardly spoken in two years. there is also one stepdaughter that I didn't raise and really barely know (she was raised in foster care), but who still calls me dad, because I'm the only parent who acknowledges her existence (it's quite sad she has to turn to me because her own parents never acknowledged her existence. She will be 28 this year, has yet to grow up and when not in jail is no end of trouble. Anyway, So if I sometimes come off in comments as sounding like a parent, it's because I am (or at least I have a history of being one).

I originally started with a group of guys back around 1994, no band name and never really finished anything, it just didn't fit.

Since then I've worked on my music off and on. I been using the name Day of Gray for the band name since sometime around 1996, but it's been mostly just myself.

I've been working hard recently to form my songs before I try to find new members (drummer, bass player, and possible guitarist). I have been home recording my work with a small and inexpensive multi-track recorder, it's just me my crude guitar playing and a drum machine. I want to have a sound that works for how the songs feel to me, before I try with a group again.

Yes, I know my music is crude I'm a guitar faker, I wouldn't know a note from a boat or a chord from a board, some bands shred it out, I mash it out; it's raw and harsh like me.

In other news, yes, in my music I may sound rather anti-social, but I'm not intentionally disrespectful or rude. If you message me, I will read it and reply, that is if your message says or implies that a reply is desired.
