Frank Friend wants you to hear his songs.

He's a self-taught musician with an unconventional approach to Indie/Pop. While influences include The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Brian Wilson, his sound is fresh and relevant. Friend blends life experiences and a cultivated appreciation of music into songs that entertain, enrich and enlighten.

The Winter Park, Florida resident is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and vocalist (in any particular order) whose music is honest, intelligent and heartfelt all at once. Past efforts include playing in the successful indie-rock trio The Silent Treatment, and most recently Daylight District, a band known for hip hop, improvisation and above all -- quality songs. Both bands received airplay on Orlando's WPRK & Tampa's WMNF. They were also both regarded highly from critics, with consistently positive reviews, and achieved awards from Weekly Planet, Creative Loafing, & Orlando Weekly magazines.

Always active, Friend continues to create an abundance of songs, remixes and mixtapes. He just finished recording an eight-song EP that has been mastered by Dave Cooley (Elysian Masters, Los Angeles). Available late Fall 2011, this release will mark the beginning of Friend as a solo artist. However, Frank Friend & The Enemies will be performing songs from this EP soon, live near you.
