Compered to the previous 4 or 5 albums this album can stand on its own two feet.....its not all bad, especially the awful 'Abacab' thing..no, its not classic 1971-77 genesis, but based on Genesis the pop group, this is ok..Definately a stand out track this one..Thanks

Charlie and Burney are the real stars of the wizzard implode....from what ive heard mike burney looked after the fanclub when wizzard went tits up...and roy produced digital rubbish..love this video

Christ i saw these guys in 1974 at the liverpool empire as part of Wizzard...offshoots of The Electric Light Orchestra....all Roy Woods doing ha ha..seriously lovely to see these guys still active....i remember top of the pops circa 1973...yeeeehhhh

Ok my second post on this....im convinced this song was intended for ELO2 the website wont comfirm.....i wonder what it would have sounded like with jeff lynne, mike edwards, richie tandy etc...great track without them tho'...but what if....

By far the best track on this album...another 3 good tracks...the rest suffer from roys wish to form the wizzo band...or you could say..as roy says in the sleeve notes there is a lack of decent mixing...perfect example 'Fire in his guitar` which is so good but so dissapointing due to the poor mix...

i guess listening to this as a massive RW fan i agree with 'posthumanhero'..Roy Wood never really adapted to the electronic age...For me he should have gone to a balladeer during the punk era that sealed his doom...listen to `Dear Elaine` and `The Song`...What songs...big string productions..love...

im a big Roy Wood fan...i would have loved more collaborations between these old band mates..i know they had disagreements around 1969/70 about where the Move was going..but Woody had ELO in his head and for me he got a bit selfish about shelving the Move once ELO got started 'cos Carl wanted to ...

Roy Wood and Jeff Lynne were songwriters, very good songwriters !! They never set out to write music for friggin Dr Who!!..Yes Lynne was commisioned to write the soundtrack to the God awful movie `Xanadu` but im sure he`s got over that by now...Check out the film `Boogie nights` the Roy Wood penn...

@posthumanhero...This album is a real gem.nothing has been recorded like it since or will be ever recorded like it due to the poor standard of music in the charts today...imagine Roy Wood turning up to the x factor auditions!!! As for comparisons with `Looking on`..i really like the Roy Wood penn...

yeh...i was there..a lovely moment...but there was a lack of rehersal and a sense of peter gabriel being there as a guest and not a past member..a shame...nice to see steve hackett at the end...after all it was after he left it all went very `Phil Collins band`...sad

Great track this..i think the only time i can say i prefer the single edit to the album version....just my opinion...But for me this was the second album (Duke being the first) that represented the transition from Genesis the prog band to Genesis the pop group...it would get worse, maybe `invisib...

Yeh...great version this..i used to cringe at the ONJ version but do you know i really got to like that version as i got a bit older and less anti ONJ..the one thing against this version is the lack of orchestral backing that was really powerful in the original version

Steve Hackett should have been involved in this tour in some way shape or form...He could have added a lot to the more commercial songs 1981-onwards..what a shame...All we have now is Steve Hackett...like i said...a shame
