I've been passionate about environmental and civil rights issues for as I can remember. I attended Schafer Elementary School, Timothy Christian Middle School, and Glenbard East High School. At GEHS, I wrote for the student paper, the "Echo," and was a member of the Aviation Club.

I attend College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, part-time as a Paralegal Studies student. I was active with Campus Greens, the Green Party's student arm; Student Leadership Council; and Sierra Student Coalition, student arm of the Sierra Club, for a number of years, before going full-time into the work world. I served as Office Manager for Ben Lowe, who ran for U.S. Congress against incumbent Republican Peter Roskam in Illinois' 6th district; it was a lot of work, but I got one hell of a civics lesson! And now I'm the secretary for DuPage Young Democrats.

I'm an aviation enthusiast. I studied off-n-on for the written exam to start flight training, but since math and science aren't exactly my strong suites, I had to bag it (ocular condition too, above and beyond contacts, rather prohibits me from flying). It's still in my blood though! And lastly, I'm a huge Shakespeare fan. My father, an English professor with a reasonable amount of theatre experience, has coached me through the various plays until I've been able to "latch" on to the language. So if you're into theatre and particular the Bard's plays, I like you already :-D
