I am a journalist, magazine writer, book author and nationally syndicated weekly newspaper columnist living in the Rocky Mountain West. My first book published in 2006 - it is entitled Hostile Takeover and was a New York Times bestseller. My second book is called THE UPRISING. It was released in May of 2008 and became a New York Times bestseller, too. I have appeared on, among others, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC and The Colbert Report. I have been published in, among others, the Washington Post, the NY Times and the San Francisco Chronicle. I am a senior editor for In These Times magazine, a senior fellow at the Campaign For America's Future and a board member of the Progressive States Network.
