I began playing guitar at the age of 6. By the time i was 14, I was substituting classes for Jimmy Herring, a good friend of mine, at the Atlanta Institute of Music, and a couple years later I wrote the curriculum for the Scales classes 1-4, which is still used today. I have been teaching there 10 years. I had private instructors such as: Paul Gilbert, Shawn Lane, Jimmy Herring, Vinny Moore, Greg Howe, Jason Becker and others. I also studdied in master classes playing on stage with Jimmy Herring and Robin Ford and other great players.
I contribute all the techniques that I use to all of these inspirational and great guitar players that I have had the privlege of studying under and also from all of my students that I taught at Atlanta Institute of Music.
