I was so fascinated by the two very different skills the Nordic Combined puts together into one very challenging sport -- the explosiveness of ski jumping and the endurance of cross-country ski racing -- , that this was all I wanted to do. In 1995 I was accepted to the ÖSV team; at the same time I was attending the Ski College in Stams from which I graduated in 2000.
