Just remember folks, this album won the Grammy for Song of the Year "This Masquerade," and Album of the Year, the first "jazz" album to ever accomplish this feat. And this was a year before George hit it big with "Weekend in L.A." George is a Jazz "God" as far as I am concerned.

Hell, this came out months before the Bill Conti version hit the big screen. This IS the seminal, and best, version of Gonna Fly Now Now. I thank God Almighty that I own this album on CD. I also thank God I saw Maynard live at the Blue Note Cafe, Greenwich Village, New York City, March 1990.

I remember the television advertising campaign for this album. It had a rather tall, slender young gal, wearing a "Feels So Good" T-shirt , covering her bosom with the 33-1/3 RPM version of this album.
