DAVID CHRISTIAN
FOLK/COUNTRY/POP ARTIST, POET, AND SONG WRITER

(Visit David at: Davidchristian.Org) With a touch of nostalgia for the late 60s and early 70s, David Christian's rhythmic guitar playing and gentle and tasteful finger picking style combined with pleasant (if not somewhat gravely) vocal arrangements are reminiscent of, Woody and Arlo Guthrie, Bob Dylan, John Prine, Steve Goodman, Rambling Jack Elliott, Guy Clark, Steve Earl, Townes Van Zadt, Jimmy Buffett, Utah P. Phillips, with a pinch of the pop, rock and country of the Eagles, Eric Claptom, Garth Brooks, The Grateful Dead, Van Morrison and other modern and traditional word-smiths and musicians.

The haunting lyrics of David's original music and poetry will leave you spell-bound. "Ghosts" is an original tune reminding us all just how fragile our sense of the past is, and how difficult it is to go home again. The soulful lyrics of the "Letter" reminds us of the frailty of love and other old memories.

David's music harkens back to the community voice; the age-old messenger; the village troubadour. His use of the "story Song" carries us along an unforgettable journey with the likes of Poncho and Lefty running from the federales in old Mexico, Louise, the oft lamented and tragic lady of the night, or the tragic love and death of Darcy Ferrow and young Vandermere; and a night at the Hotel California, and Mr. Bo Jangles may show up from time to time. David has picked up hundreds of folk , country, and pop songs, and a few home-made songs as well - any kind of song as long as it's a good song, and he seems to own any song he's singing.

If you're looking for a musical journey into the heart of Saturday night ,then you won't be disappointed. If you crave and love straight forward good original, as well as tastefully arranged familiar music, than you will be pleasantly surprised and happily rewarded spending an evening with song writer, poet and recording artist, David Christian.
