My expertise grew up on top of my big love for cinema (I have always been a cinephile, since my early years) and then of my academic studies (very focused on history of cinema). However, when I started my apprenticeship, I wanted it to be very technical and practical. So, instead of applying to any film schools or of simply grabbing a cheap digital camera and just shoot with no limits, I decided on the contrary to start from ground and go the "old-way": so I started with old film cameras, few feet of reversal film, and old moviolas. Later on, I worked also as a a camera operator, as a continuity man, as an assistant producer, and as an independent film&videomaker and producer. This way, I developed a very sound technical expertise and a real knowledge of the business, that always help me so much and make me be reliable and sharp even under big pressure and in very low-budget hard-limits conditions (as for instance with my feature film)
