I did not like this interview at all. The interviewer was insulting. Between the lines of his words he was spitting on Americans (How could you possibly be an American??) was what I heard, as well as on Jews. There was nothing impartial about him.

I really don't think she meant to imply that he was purposely avoiding the subject. I think she was simply implying that she knew that it was a controversial topic and then hesitantly brought it up. I didn't see it as her calling him out at all.
