@SquidgyMcGee That's a 20ft high rooster tail behind that ship. flight deck is 20ft above waterline, and it reaches every inch up to the deck.

@13proudfox13 and the GD ship is cracking, corroding, and can't perform. That is why there is no video like this for the GD ship. They haven't been able to make one yet. I agree, it looks cool, but looks won't win a battle.

@bhbritt54 They're actually mostly powered by two v-16 diesels, but they'll light the two gas turbines and use all four engines to sprint to the speed in the video. I don't know the specs off hand for the diesels, but the turbines are roughly 45,000 hp each. MT-30's, same as on the Boeing 777.

they do not have a contract for 10 ships. They have a contract for ONE ship, with potentially 9 options for additional ships. There is a HUGE difference. MMC is a propaganda manufacturing plant. Hope they get all of them, but don't bet on it.

Very nice video. However the Fort Worth is 11 feet longer than Freedom, she is 389 feet. They added length to the aft end of the ship for buoyancy reasons.
