1: solidly bedded the right traps
2: made dirt holes, cubbies, or pvc sets, or DP's for coon instead of using sticks

i dont think that beaver is 50 pounds, probably more like 25 or so. although you got him in a 160, i would reccommend a 280 minimum or prefarably a 330. you will probbaly have much better luck.
