Yep. Very strange sequence of events. You can understand why each person (keeper, assistant ref, referee) did what they did - but ultimately it was the keepers mistake and an alert play by Nani. I suspect the assistant referee was thinking the referee HAD stopped play too.

@Zares28 - by law you have to be treated when presented for emergent care. Otherwise, ... no. The answer CLEARLY isn't the status quo - where insurance companies are the primary market manipulaters. The balance now is, at best, no worse than what most people fear under universal healthcare.

... kinda hard to see where the ball was - but looked as though the green/black player was leaping to head a ball that the defender was attempting to head (without leaping). A foul to be sure, but likely not worthy of a card. ... which seems to have been what the ref was calling.

This was the worst I've ever seen from an IndyCar emergency crew - normally the finest in racing. Can't think of any excuse for the confused initial behavior upon the crew's arrival - and the ineffective responses afterwards. ... pretty embarrassing, and potentially tragic.

Joey Crawford could be excellent, but when he got emotional - as he did in way too many games, he became a game destroyer. As a Pacer fan (thanks, appreciate the condolences), I always loved to hear color commentator and great former coach Slick Leonard go after Crawford - often mercilessly.

In the NBA - when a ref gets embarrassed by a faker, I guarantee you the faker doesn't want to have that ref in any future games - - he's toast. Would be interesting to see what happened to Kerilinko in later games with that same referee - who you KNOW was pissed after viewing the tapes.

Good to see some yellow cards come out for the fakers/embellishers. Terrible trend in the game that MUST be stamped out harshly. Post match fines and significant suspensions will be the most effective - along with public ridicule. Pathetic.

I'd have not called a foul. Blue's arm did come up, but he also had superior position and white was leaning back into him in an attempt to control the ball. "Keep playing, no foul".

Your video doesn't make a case for poor refereeing. Quite the opposite; he seemed to recognize as fair play some tackles that lesser referees might have called fouls.

Hard to see for sure, but the blue player at least appeared to position himself to confront the ref - ... and then some kind of contact. Seems like a fair RC.

Good job by the referee. (I sincerely believe the RC was correct - but Marta has already accumulated a lifetime of "missed cards" with all the flopping she does)

Just a poor call. Ref appeared a bit spastically officious. Could see a YC - but I wouldn't have even given that.

Red. Excellent call. No play on the ball - went for contact on the player. SFP. No place for that in any game - and in a rec indoor game there should be no tolerance for that type of play.
