and I agree with you that these days, studios butcher 80s movies (and not only movies, but songs also with lame remakes). And whenever they decide to make an 80s-themed movie nowadays, it's to make fun of it (ex. Hot tub time machine, lame movie, although I only saw the commercial). Looks like the 00s are short on ideas, unlike the 80s
