Airsoft is still, wrongly I feel, classed as a toy but its gaining in popularity worldwide and is now used by the military and LE for training as its a lot cheaper.
Airsoft opened the door for me into customizing the 1911 and for weapons history in general.

Thats it in a nutshell but obviously there is alot more too it.Its not easy for me to explain 800 years of war to you in a few sentences.If there is anything in particular you want to know just ask me and i will try and let you know from a neutral perspective ok.I hope that helps your understanding a little bit anyway

Most people now just want peace and a democratic solution to any problems but tensions are still high among the communities especially the working class.The Nationalists see it as their land taken from them by the British while the Unionists now believe it is their land as they have occupied it for a long time now.The trouble started because Catholics were treated as 2nd class citizens hence why the IRA were formed to protect their community.There has been trouble in this part of the island for 800 years now so it is not easy to get rid of the hatred.Both sides have commited atrocities against each other so alot of people dont trust and despise the other side.This will take generations to get rid of.

Ok so the problem in Northern Ireland is between Nationalists(mostly Catholic) who want unification with the Republic of Ireland and Unionists(mostly Protestants) who want to remain part of the United Kingdom(England,Scotland and Wales),It is a political,religous and turf war so to speak.In 1998(under the guidence of Bill Clinton amd George Mitchell,2 prominent Americans as you know) the majority in NI voted for a democratic process where the majority would decide where the land would belong to.At the moment the Unionists have a majority and wish to remain part of the UK.Things have been peaceful for a while but recently violence has started to crop up again as unfortunately alot of Protestants and Catholics hate each other.This will take generations to get rid of as it is passed down from father to son and both sides have commited atrocities and crimes against each other(3,500 dead since the troubles started in the 60's) so it is hard for each side to forgive and forget.

Regarding Belfast riots.Appearently it was Protestant(UVF) that started.How much explaining of the situation are you looking for?Its fairly complicated bud.
