About this user
Enticia and I are both visual artist... I paint in oils and she paints in Acrylic and is self published in watercolour. We intend to post more videos on art, photography and the antics of the creatures we share our lives with. Once we find the right music that we can legally use - copyright free we will post our next video.
Thank you for your complements... These are sound puppies, each with their own personality. They have been exposed to children and all three adult dogs are simply crazy about kids, especially Dakhota the stud! We believe that we have the foundation of what a quality dog owner is seeking. But, what we have done is only the beginning. These dogs travel well, they spent 13 hours in the car making several stops at 8 weeks old with no difficulties (happily posing for new photos and playing in the forest for 2 hours). They are also 90% house trained and have begun leash training. They are not outside dogs... but Kestra and Beau seem to have the highest level of endurance. In all honesty we always recommend to people that keep their dogs outside to have two... for both companionship and for warmth (a heat light is good though)!
They are very social and very dedicated... the person that spends the most time with them now will likely be the person that they bond with the most. If it is at all possible keep the puppy inside sleeping close to the person you want them to bond to (in a travel crate by your bed for the first month or two would be optimal -leaving the puppy outside on the warmest nights 'if' your trying to create an outside dog). At eight weeks they are not up to par on regulating their heat, so we highly recommend you keep you puppy indoors for the first few weeks! We do keep them outside as much as possible in the day and we take them to the snow line most everyday to play since it has all melted now in our yard.
Their mother is crazy for running, she runs 7km starting at an elevation of 850m and ending at an elevation of 1200m! Then she runs back down. Going up Dakhota lets her have her head which is about 32kmh... coming down he keeps her back, not allowing her to pass him! He body checks her, and if she tries to pass he grabs her and makes her slow down. It is really quite funny we hope to get it on video this weekend.
Silhouette the black shepherd believes she is the bunnies mother... having made Enticia stop to catch her (Enticia stopped thinking she needed to potty, but we guess she spotted the bunnies and wanted one for her very own)! The following day she lost her puppies, so they are pretty close now, the bunny expecting daily grooming and Sil expecting constant attention. Now that the puppies are older ,it is really quite funny to watch her protect the bunny, . She stands guard at Einsteina's cage, warning the puppies to be calm... they pretty much have to sit still and be quiet, she won't even let them whimper. Mia is the gentlest with the bunny, they chase each other from room to room when she is loose and Sil is outside. We have plans to breed Sil in April!
We will be happy to call you if your interested in one of our puppies, just send us your number and we can talk further! Kingsly is sold to an RCMP officer in Terrace! Thanks Chad! Kestra is sold and will be moving to Kelowna on the 16th! Thanks Jacki! We are happy to help you with any training we can. But, we highly recommend that you and your family attend puppy school along with your puppy. It is important to continue socializing the puppies, but not until 14 ½-16 weeks when they will have their third and final shot to protect them from Parvo! We also suggest borda tella for kennel cough as you will be amongst other dog owners that may have sick puppies, and of course Rabies! We hope this is useful information and not an overload! Our training and socializing of German Shepherd dogs is based strictly on dog behaviour, which Enticia has studied in-depth for 9 years!
