Time to rate a few anime series I have seen in the past few months that I really want to review. So here goes a short review on 5 anime series. Ratings are from 1 - 5 stars

Casshern Sins- This is a remake of Neo-Human Casshern. However, the story is different. Unlike the old series, in this one Casshern is the antagonist that kills the savior of the world and dooms the earth. But later his memories are erased, and he watches with sorrow how the ones around him die from his action he can't remember.
Though the remake was good, the development wasn't. There were some very good individual episodes that had great story but the main plot was very shallow and it ends in a most unsatisfying way, my biggest regret is Casshern is never even seen like a superhero, like in the old series.
Animation had that old school style yet is very good, and there is a good OST to it.
I rate Casshern Sins 3.9 Stars

Shikabane Hime (both seasons)
From the guys who made Gurren Lagann comes this anime. OST is great, animation is eye popping, and the story is great. In a nut shell, it about a boy who discovers that once someone dies, if they have regrets they become corpse that kill people; only shikabane himes, who are also girl that have died, can kill them but they must make a contract with a priest in order to do so. The boy (Ori) slowly learns of this and by season 2 is a priest to the Shikabane hime his guardian/friend had, who is killed while saving Ori.
The down side is the ending, which is inconclusive.
I rate Shikabane Hime Season One 4.6 and Two 4.3

To Aru Majutsu no Index
Plot: Its about a boy that lives in a city which is home to a lot of superhuman students, ranging from levels 0-5. But there is a secret war between the science organization and the magic organization. Toma (main boy) is a level 0, normal human, but has the power of Image breaker. He can neutralize any attack superhuman or magic if he touches it with his right hand.
Over all the storyline is great, Animation is superb and so is the OST. The only thing keeping this anime from a perfect 5 star, is the arcs are too short. There is a new arc every 3 episodes, since its based off the novel you can tell there is a bigger plot shaping up. But it is ended before we can see it, but it seem to have been ended that way to get the fans to support a future 2nd season or a spin-on. However this series has superhuman,magicians, alchemist, chic, and even vampires are mentioned in it. Its a must see anime

Tower of Druaga both seasons
Plot: About a boy who forms his own team to climb the legendary tower to defeat the evil lord Druaga. Its set in a fictional medieval time world. In season 2 the plot shift to how the main character is betrayed 3 times and finds out there is more to the tower than anyone knows. Animation is good, plot is great and the OST are fun. I enjoyed most of all the OPs which are set in real life scenarios, which is the opposite of the actual anime XD. The only thing that bugs me is in a few episodes in season 2 the animation quality drops, as if the budget was low, and that might really have been the case. But over all its a great series.
I rate Tower of Druaga season one 4.8 stars and two 4.5

Toradora
This anime might just be a runner up for the best anime of the year. Plot is simple enough about two infamous students Ryūji and Taiga, who first encounter is all but pleasant. But they soon find out there both in love with each others best friends so they team up to help each other win the ones they like. However, they slowly learn how the ones they like struggle with their own unreturned love for someone else, the mistakes they wish to take back and how they began to have feelings for one another. It is a must see anime. I really liked the episode where Taiga fights Sumire, XD great girl fight LOL.
Everything is well done, the plot, the development, the character design, and the climax were all well done. And I must also point out both OPs are among the best OPs of the year specially "Pre-Parade" OP.
This series is to me a 5 star rated anime
