Hello! =DI am a classical pianist with conservatory training from the Manhattan School of Music. I started playing piano at the age of 6. My music is my life! I was self taught for about three years until I met an incredible woman who took me under her wing and gave me lessons for $12 an hour since my parents could not afford lessons for me at the time..lol. The way I met her was kind of funny actually - I grew up in an apt. building in manhattan and I used to roller skate up and down the hallway. I always heard someone practicing the piano and I used to sit infront of her door and listen to her play for hours, until one day I decided to knock and ask how much she charged for lessons..lol. That day changed my life forever and my music has always been my great love. Unfortnately, due to many serious chronic health problems, I have had to stop working for now and my practicing has also been affected. I had my own business made up of 38 private students, and I had to let it all go due to health. So I am taking as many years off as I need to, to get healthy again. In the meantime, I love to practice when I can, I also love yoga, and computer games..lol. I am addicted to World of War Craft..I am a geek in every way and proud of it! I hope to post some videos of myself playing within the next few months - my health allowing. I used to perform all throughout Manhattan on a regular basis, but now I just teach privately. I am a much better teacher than I am performer for the time being, but I LOVE to teach and work with children. I will take students as young as Four years old, and have also worked with disabled children, trying to help them through music. I have an incredible partner by my side who loves me through thick and thin, and is very supportive of my music and everything else that I love to do. And there you have it folks! I am also known to be a chatter box..lol. For those of you who have a myspace account, my display name is Xydussia. Feel free to throw me an invite =) I have pics of myself posted there - I am a huge spaz with computers but I am trying to learn to work my camcorder so that I can post things. I am a very friendly person always looking to make new friends who share my interests. I love passionate people who know who they are in life, and who are confident enough with themselves so that they don't feel the need to put others down in order to bring themselves up.
