In the beginning, I was to be an Interior designer but that was too happy a job at the time.

I decided to switch too something in the field of Music. I had DJ'd as a hobby ever since I can remember. That was fun but soon became boring as a full time job. Friends and acquaintances always asked if I could help them hook up or asked what equipment they should buy and that's when I started Building Sound systems for friends, small neighborhood bars and clubs. In the advent of Lighting, mid 80's with DMX and High Ends Intellibeam,I found that more stimulating than sound I did both and the rest is history.

As a DJ in East LA late 70' early 80's then a Sales Manager for a Consumer LA chain of Home Entertainment systems, when Audio was Sold at retail, way back... and audio was not cheap, Bose was the Rage and Numark Mixers where the Bomb! Technics Ruled!

In the mid 80's I worked with the Greatest of the Nightclub Designer's Granddaddies Jerry Liedman Of Red Onion restaurant fame.

He inspired me too go into my own and there I went back and forth. I managed Exodus Sound and Lighting in the early 80's then a few odd Jobs and landed at Towards 2000 (now T2K+) until 2000 opening my own retail for 5 years(E3)Entertainment Environment Equipment and that was fun but way too much work. I'd rather Design and head the team to the finished product. Then vacation, you need one after doing what we do...Retail your working 24/7 and that just kills your love and inspiration.

I now do it at Paragon Lighting and Sound Inc. with a design space and showroom not opened to the public located at 7709 Melrose Ave. W Hollywood, CA 90046 along with my son Jayson A. Quinones and his business partner Kintu Patel.

We have 2000 sq ft. of Office and Showroom space set up for designing all aspects of Professional state of the art in Audio, Lighting, Media, LED, Lasers. We are Manufactures Dealers and representatives for top Name Brands. Customers call in to set up an appointment do to privacy and I like the one to one sales approach, more personal and you can be detailed in your presentation without interuptions, Club owners don't like too shop in Retail environment, do to many distractions when detail is at a premium. (time is money in the club biz) No time to stand in line to pay for a laser.
