The Levant المشرق

The Levant المشرق is situated on the eastern Mediterranean coastline and extending inwards. It encompasses modern day Syria, Lebanon, Palestine (or the piece of land that some call "Israel" sadly), Jordan, and part of Iraq.

I like to view it as a region that has been broken into pieces by the Colonial Era and the Franco-British Mandate over these lands, which under the influence of Zionism and other factors resulted in the division of the region, and mainly in the dismembering of Palestine into Israel (or the Jewish Palestine) and Jordan (or the Arab Palestine) [or at least that was the plan].

I will dedicate a number of my videos to the Classical and contemporary arts of The Levant, focusing on quality rather than quantity. Besides, I will be providing a constant supply of Western Classical music (mainly Baroque and Late 19th c. onwards), that are representative of my taste and education as a musician.
