About this user

Maintaining one's voice night after night as a career vocalist is a challenge to many performers. Clarity and precision of sound from such a delicate vocal apparatus requires a solid foundation of technique and conditioning as well as knowledge in assessing function and balance of the voice. Over the last 25 years, Daniel has not come off tour, playing three to four nights a week. His versatile voice has allowed him to sing rock, R&B, Jazz, 70's, 80's, and many other genres. During his steady involvement with corporate and entertainment companies, he has performed at many venues including the Hollywood Bowl, United Center Chicago, VH-1, MTV, Sea World, Disneyland, Roseland, the Playboy Mansion, and the House of Blues. Singing engagements with high profile celebrities include Reo Speed Wagon, Luther Van Dross, Bette Midler, Tower of Power, Hugh Hefner, Dennis Rodman, Rupaul, and with many finalists on the American Idol. Many of Los Angeles' themed 70's and 80's bands have also called on Daniel as lead vocalist, most recently for the 2011 New Year count down with Boogie Knights. The magnitude of Daniel's involvement vocally comes not without its dues; i.e. vocal issues. These challenges are, however what gives him that edge beyond any vocal instructor in the industry. As a personality flaw, manifesting as a blessing, Daniel researches solutions to overcome common and uncommon vocal problems. Over the years he's been to a multitude of vocal instructors poured through ancient and modern books on singing, scoured the internet for answers. Daniel believes that the incorporation years of actual singing experience coupled with his diligence in research and application of select techniques has brought him to where he stands today. At a professional level, his students agree that they achieve immediate and long lasting understanding and solutions for their vocal issues. At a personal level, he is patient, fun, and passionate about helping students achieve their goals. His vocal dependability comes from his unrelenting search for the truth and commitment to practicing what he believes in. Studying with top instructors in the country, costing thousands of dollars over the years, Daniel Formica now incorporates their cohesive knowledge base into his own teaching. At Daniel Formica Vocal Studio client evaluations are individualized and therapies are customized to achieve results often apparent on the first day. Results are essential. Many vocal instructors sing minimally in lectures or run scales during their day, performing in front of large crowds infrequently.
