You actually had to have a SKILL to play music in the '60's and the '70s. You had to know how to get around the drum kit or the guitar. You had to practice. You had to put your own force behind the lyrics when you sang them and maybe even had to PRACTICE THE RIFFS AND THE LYRICS!
