I would like to add a song "Too weak to say good-bye" but don't know how. It is on the "Humor Me" album. Can someone advise me. It is a great song. My favorite from him in fact.

I can't remember but I guess Keith had already left us when before Allison sang it, but it is nice to imagine the two of them acutally singing this as a duo. Clearly I was and still am a Keith Whitley fan and have always loved the Allison Krauss/Union Station sound.

We all talk about Allison's gift and I'll be the first to say she is heaven's vocal cords but what a match in heaven it is with Union Station.

PBS has broadcast the Hundred Miles or More concert several times. One of these decades I'm going to learn how to record it on a dvd so I will have it always. Been fan of Allison since her Grand Ole Opry days and what a lovely lady she is.

Before, only because I saw her in person before all the plastic, although the breasts were a nice change if not a little over the top so to say.

Vern does a great job as he does on every song he sings but this is a George Jones classic. They are in fact two classics. Go Vern!

Thanks to ole Vern I was burning the candle at both ends at the Dallas pseudo "honky tonks", Bell Star, Diamond Jims and Cowboys. Boy, those were the days and Vern was definitely a big catalyst in the 80's and if I wasn't listening at the joints I had him on casette for the truck trips.

a shiver up my spine just now. It has been years since I heard this song. None of the old stations around hear ever play Moody Blues or ELO or........poets all and singers and instrumentalists too boot.

Huntinbear...you were not paying attention. I loved Reba's music? I was asking if anyone could remember another country singer who was gay that sang about the same time as Reba. I found out who it was. It was K.D. Land. Beautiful voice. Get it now?

Well based on the length of posts here it may be months so I'll go ahead and tell you. Loretta Lynn is her sister.......talent just seems to run in the family, huh?

Just trying to think of something worthy to say about this woman and performer. What can I say, you have all said it for me..she is the quintessential female country performer of her time.

Everyone was so shocked that we actually got them because my hs in Tyler,TX was on the poor side of town. It has been 45 years so I'm a little fuzzy on details. I just remember that they sounded just like the album and they weren't much more than kids themselves.

I am looking perhaps in ths wrong place for a song released back in the 80's called "too weak to say good bye". I thought it was by Jesse Winchester and the name of the song may not be too weak to say good bye but it is in the chorus, Any one remember such a song?

I am looking for a memory. Brain vs Dodge Ram 2500 doesn't help much but what I think I remember is a song that may be titled "Too weak to forget" by Jesse Winchester. Maybe not, because I have been unable to find it under either heading. Would you help me?

I can hardly believe after all these years that I found this song again. It was played on the OASIS or KOAI FM in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metorplex back in the 90's. I did not know the artist but thought I remembered the name and lo and behold here it is.
