NOTE: For some reason unbeknownst to me YouTube will not allow me to add video responses to my videos. Indeed I only even see such responses if I happen to check my email and it still doesn't let me "OK" them. I apologize deeply to anyone who has tried to leave a video response; if it were up to me I would have allowed them all!

"Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves."~ Carl Jung

"If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern." ~William Blake

"Music is the one incorporeal entrance into the higher world of knowledge which comprehends mankind but which mankind cannot comprehend".~Ludwig van Beethoven

"...music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy."~Ludwig van Beethoven

"Music is enough for a lifetime, but a lifetime is not enough for music".~Sergei Rachmaninoff

"Music owes the same debt to Bach as a religion does to its founder."~Robert Schumann

"Let the Well Tempered Clavier [(i.e.,Bach)] be your daily bread."~Robert Schumann
About Me:

I will some day have live vids (is the term "live video" an oxymoron?) of some of my own musical interpretations of the masters, as well as some of my own cheap rip-offs of them. First, however, I require a decent place with decent equipment and quiet, quiet, quiet. I have no idea when I will obtain such precious things but I will, someday, sooner than later I hope!....

I'm a big believer in reciprocity and treating others as you wish to be treated yourself....

NOTE to friends/correspondents: I have tendinitis and have to limit activities involving my hands so if there's a delay in response or I go MIA for a few that's why (I'd rather be able to do a little of everything I enjoy than nothing at all).
Country:
United States
Interests:
music (I play (classical) piano and violin but can rock out with the best of them!); reading; true crime; forensics; philosophy; math; symbols; words; language; anti-psychiatry; impressionist and expressionist art; Sturm und Drang; the green; Halloween; movies; food; internet; Scrabble; koalas; horses; animals in general; teddy bears; watching the Prisoner Cell Block H series over and over and over ad infinitum; walking for hours before my back injury :(; now I swim.
Movies:
Pyschological thrillers/chillers like The Shining; The Silence of the Lambs; Natural Born Killers; Kalifornia; The Game; The Talented Mr. Ripley; Bad Influence; House of Cards; The Fan; Fatal Attraction; Single White Female; Brokedown Palace; The Stepfather (the original-the sequel's alriht but the remake not so great); Die, Die, My Darling; Play Misty For Me; The LIttle Girl Who Lived Down The Lane; Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte; What Ever Happened to Baby Jane; The Bad Seed; Theatre of Blood; anything Hitchcock etc. True crime adaptations base on true stories like In Cold Blood; The Deliberate Stranger; To Catch a Killer; Dead Ringers; Party Monster; Bully; Karla; The Zodiac; Citizen X etc. True (non fiction) adaptations like Not Without My Daughter; Awakenings; Midnight Express; Into The Wild; Open Water; Dead Ringers; Blow; Factotum; etc. Also I must mention my love for Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the real one with Gene Wilder; not that dreck with Depp): every year I rent it and get a boat load of candy to eat while I watch. Also must give a nod to The Sound of Music; One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest; The Planet of the Apes (original; the remake sucks as much as that of Willy Wonka); and some quirky, independent stuff like Happiness; Welcome to the Dollhouse; Raising Victor Vargas; Gretchen; What's Eating Gilbert Grape?; The Mudge Boy; Shelf Life; Strangers With Candy; The Butcher Boy; Due Date; To Die For; Serial Mom; Logan's Run; Requiem For A Dream; Most High; On The Outs; Five Easy Pieces; Freaks; Dumb and Dumber; The Jerk; The Man With Two Brains; Stand By Me; Lucas; Lonesome Jim; Pizza; The Big Lebowski; The Piano Teacher; all John Hughes films; etc. Loved the series Strangers With Candy as well as Kids in the Hall; The Vacant Lot; Crank Yankers and the old English series Fawlty Towers. Also must give a nod to the last good TV: My So Called Life and Freaks and Geeks; and last, but by no means least (quite the contrary actually ;) ), I must proclaim my love for the old Australian series Prisoner: Cell Block H which I've just rediscovered thanks to YouTube and the net. Loved it then and love it now; almost indescribably so!!!!
Music:
CLASSICAL: Bach; Beethoven; Schubert; Schumann; Chopin; Liszt; Brahms; Rachmaninoff; Tchaikovsky; Mendelssohn; Saint-Saëns; Sibelius; Vilvaldi; Corelli; Veracini; Paganini; Wieniawski ; Vieuxtemps are some top faves. HARD ROCK: Blue Öyster Cult; Cheap Trick; Judas Priest/Halford; Iron Maiden; DIO; Motörhead; Mötley Crüe; Black Sabbath; Ozzy w/Rhoads; vintage GNR; Tom Petty; The Doors; Nirvana; KISS; Deep Purple; Lep Zeppelin; UFO w/Schenker; Rush; ZZ Top; Charlie Daniels; The Ventures; old Def Leppard, Styx and REO (when the previous three rocked: no kitschy ballad tripe, and Clark, DeYoung and Richrath were with them respectively); are top hard rock faves). PUNK (Ramones; The Misfits; Samhain; Black Flag; Circle Jerks, Dead Kennedys; Agent Orange; T.S.O.L.; Bad Religion; Pennywise; The Offspring; Suicidal Tendendcies are some faves). I also love Swing too: there's such life, energy and happiness in it yet also an undercurrent of danger as in an ~eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow we die~ kind of vibe. Surf/surf punk rocks too!
Books:
Shakespeare and Hesse are my all time fave authors and I've read the complete works of both (well almost all of the former;)) but I pretty much read true crime exclusively these days, with the occasional "other" thrown in.
