The second Urban Moves International Dance Festival took place in Manchester City Centre, Oldham and Bury Friday 25 - Sunday 27 July 2008. An audience of 10,000 enjoyed live professional dance performance outdoors - up above and all around the city! Urban Moves is a unique blend of dance and spectacle celebrating the cityscape and architecture of Manchester. For three days some of the best companies from Britain, France and Spain were out in the in parks and in the fountains, in the squares and in the gardens. Highlights included some awesome aerial dance involving skyscraper cranes and some wicked waterplay!

Urban Moves presents a fascinating mix of styles and some exhilarating ideas. Festival performances are free and suitable for all ages.The next Urban Moves International Dance Festival will take place Friday 23rd - Sunday 25th July 2010.
