"If I could tell you what it meant, there would be no point in dancing it." -Isadora Duncan

Dance Anywhere is a form a video blogging, my online journal in movement. Each clip contains improvisational movements, recorded moments of dance in my everyday life. The idea is to explore creativity in motion and dance that is not set for a stage. Thanks for watching!

"Dance first. Think later. It's the natural order." -Samuel Beckett
Country: United States
Interests and Hobbies: After years of studying ballet, I began to explore different forms of movement. Not just dance movement, but skateboarding, snowboarding, movement imitation and improvisation. I'm currently working on a project that explores improv movement with music in different locations. I have recently begun recording my projects and posting them online, but I'm not sure how this project is going to develop. I feel like dance in its pure organic form is often overlooked; the creation of dance choreography is often neglected and only finished products are performed before an audience. I think that with current technology, a dancer can practice art. Each video blog clip is a sketch from my notepad. Some of the sketches may one day become a polished piece of work, but right now I'm working more on sketching than on polishing.
Music: Agent Ribbons, An Angle, Broken Social Scene, Bucho, Chemical Brothers, Coldplay, Delerium, Didley Squat, Eels, Fiona Apple, Franz Ferdinand, Frente!, Frou Frou, Garbage, Gorillaz, Head Like a Kite, Groovie Ghoulies, Haints, Hot Pistol, Imogen Heap, Jimmy Eat World, Muse, No Doubt, Orbital, Pink Floyd, Pogues, Portishead, Radiohead, The Shins, Snow Patrol, Tori Amos, Weezer, The White Stripes, and The Ziggens To name a few...
Books: The Intimate Act of Choreography, The Artist's Way, Choreography: A basic approach to improvisation, The Art of Making Dances, How to Dance Forever, Dancing Many Drums, Dancing on My Grave, Holding on to the Air, Prodigal Son: Dancing for Balanchine in a World of Pain and Magic.

Hello! It's me, the fellow with the beard and the trenchcoat. You were easily one of the coolest people at the San Francisco gathering. So...Rock on. (I would have said,"Dance on," but that sounds like a strange power rangers sort of decleration.)
