About this user

I am an Atheist and Humanist; I am able to find meaning and purpose in life without having to resort to the suppressive and insufficient answers and rules of the world religions. I think religion is intellectually stifling and does more harm in the world than is acceptable compared to the limited good.

I also object to it because many/most religious cannot do 'good' without also having to preach to the vulnerable they seek to help. I've always said, if religious thought was kept to yourself then there wouldn't be any problem; this is never the case and often I find silly superstitious views affecting my life in a way that I cannot accept.

Also, I'm a bit of a socialist. I dont think that Capitilism is a very fair system and seems to leave open exploitation of the many at the profit of the very few. I find this to be in opposition to the best interests of the many out there and would advocate a mixed system to protect lower income earners and work for them not the very rich.
