I have two dogs that have longer coats and get dry skin easily for some reason, but i shampoo them with an oatmeal dog shampoo. You can find it at HEB, Petsmart, or Wal-mart, Petco, or any place that has dog products. It really helps my dogs coat and makes them shiny. Also depends on the dog food...
