i think someone reprogrammed Sonic 1 and made it look 8-bit. I don't believe NES would've made a sonic game due to the LEGAL reasons. SEGA would've sued NES to hell.

@TheEliteSystem I could never get past the 3-4 maps in Sonic 1. I gave up. Sonic 2, I blew past that game in like 7 days. I think Sega realized the first one was too hard so they made the second one way easier.
