Genuinely amazing film. Modern filmmakers are still trying to equal it.

Great movie in every respect and it doesn't just copy the Errol Flynn Warners' style but stands in its own right as one of the truely classic adventure films. Cast are all wonderful, the score in memorable and the direction is extremely skillful.

While my personal favourite swordfight is still The Adventures of Robin Hood, this is almost certainly the best ever filmed. Both actors clearly knew what they were doing with a sword and it's yet another great scene from a wonderfully entertaining movie.

In all fairness, TAoRH is widely considered not only the best historic adventure film but also one of the best adventure films of any kind. Many people think it's unsurpassable.
