I find this phrasing of Hughes strangely prophetic, moreso since the camera turns away from him, goes across the harbor, and takes in the (then still standing in 1997) World Trade Center on the other side.
The midpoint breakdown of this song does it for me....the transition from a blissful atmospheric vibe to mellow semi-jazzy d&b is magnificently done....really connects the two parts of the song with class and soul.
