Mike has already proven himself. He doesn't "need" any band to be who he is or, to still be great.

Mike is not the problem. It's the Beatle's music. Not his gig. The Beatles died a long time ago.

Portnoy was in integral part of DT. Mangini is a great drummer but cannot fill the shoes Mike left. It just is the way it is. Mike is a true legend.

Keith was arguably one of the greatest drummers of all time, if not the best. For those of you who rate him "below" Peart, Bonham, Portnoy, etc: they are all greats in their own right. The Who was collectively the greatest rock band in history.
