first off... "daddyeris" is an inside joke amongst my closest friends so that's the nickname i used when i opened my youtube account. ha! it should've been named addictedtoE.R.I.S.

more behind that title...

my real name is ERIS, an acronym for my grandparents (Ely, Raymundo, Ines, & Severino).

anyway, i've noticed that i have always had an addictive nature. everything from types of food, places to go, good and bad habits, and even drugs at some point. but i've recently realized that i have had one addiction that has always stood above the rest... and that is: trying to discover the best version of myself that i can be through my lifes experiences and conveying it through my music.

music is my passion. i don't wish for fame, i don't hope to be a celebrity, and i don't yearn for recognition. i write music that is true to myself and expresses purely honest, sincere, and unconditional feelings. i write about love... love that lives, love that hurts, and love that is self-less. my only hope for my music is that it touches those who have felt the same and that it voices feelings for those who have never been able to find the words before.

obviously, my main interest is music. a lot of my friends have asked why i don't pursue the music industry and i have one simple answer: i don't want to be famous for writing music or singing... i do it because it's MY passion. so why even post videos on youtube or have a myspace music account? because, in my opinion, it's just like having a journal/blog online. these are emotions that i truly feel. i don't just write what comes to my mind... my personal experiences lead me to what i have to say through my lyrics and the melodies in the composition of my music. i'm telling my story and just simply sharing it. no need to be paid for it, no need for awards, no need for topping any charts. just a simple need to write and release my own personal feelings. :)
