Thanks for the channel comments. Good to know another 'mid-aged' young kid like me is playing Johns stuff. And..you've got it....*its in the tunings*....if you want to get *those* tones (and you must do- you like john Martyn)..there's no option for most his stuff. Like you I avoided open tunings for years...apart from the odd thing...then when I did start using them properly...massive light bulb moments!!...I think you're right in starting with dadgad- for his classic 70s stuff. You're in for some nice moments- you know what I mean-when you achieve those *same* tones he did -years of pent up wishes granted from the old reliable guitar...stay in touch squire..!

Thanks for your comment. yeah Katherine is a really talented musician. We were actually supposed to do a little collaboration but one thing or another keeps stopping me from playing or recording. One day hopefully. i like your music too, you have a cool style.
