ALBANIANS ARE NOT ILLYRIANS

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE ALBANIAN ORIGIN.

Albanians are not illyrians and they are not indigenous in the Balkans either. One view about their origin is that they come from the region near Azerbaijan where there still is a region called Albania.

When Albania of Caucasus was destroyed by Romans, they seeked for new lands in the Balkans.
Moving slowly, living in temporary camps, after some centuries they reached the Balkans.
Thats why Albanian language has close relations to the one spoke by Udis in Caucasus.


Another view suggests that they migrated to their current location from the eastern Europe.

The myth about their illyrian descent was propagated by the communist propaganda of Enver Halil Hoxha. Hoxha was behind the fabrication about their illyrian descent in an effort to fanatise the crowds and try to unite different ethnic minorities.

Albanians were used by the Ottomans to assist them in the massacres against Slavs and Greeks. Albanians stole their flag by the Byzantine flag, which was used by Georgios Kastriotis.

Georgios Kastriotis' father was the Greek Ioannis Kastriotis and his mother was the Serbian Voisava.

Despite that, the Albanians in their usual practise of stealing, they proclaimed him their national hero.

Kastriotis himself never refered to himself as Albanian but as Epirotan and the same was thought of him by the Ottomans.

Example:

In his letter to the Prince of Taranto Jovanni Antonio, Kastriotis says: " Our ancestors were Epirotians, from which Pyrros the King was born. Who won the Romans and occupied Taranto and other cities of Italy. You do not have fighters to resist in the Epirotian courage" ("Georgios Kastriotis", K.Paganel, p.156, 1860).
