  I don't see why it should. In standard form these engines (OM605 Turbo) are lowly tuned at 155bhp and will run for 500,000kms and usually still pass a leakdown test. The chip this guy has will probably have taken the engine to around 190bhp. It's unlikely he'll ever have any problem...
