@aLamb31 If this is the case. The sti guy knows about how to drive his car. The power band falls off at ~6k. Staying between about 3900 to 6200k is where the fastest acceleration is. You would know if you had a sti with a stock turbo.

@pox122229 Yeah they are two completely different cars. But with small mods on the 5.0 you can have similar results. The Zo6 is more of a track car and it just looks like it should be going fast. But it doesnt have back seats.

I've told this story a few times but its true. I raced a 2011 mustang 5.0 that had a intake, x pipe, 3.73 gears and a tune. I raced from 40mph to 155mph two times. I won both times with my stock 2006 zo6 by 2 to 2 and 1/2 cars. I was very impressed with the mustang.

I didnt know that c5 zo6 could gain almost 100 crank horse power with bolt ons. My c6 zo6 only dynoed like 438 whp on a mustang dyno. Most people with c5 zo6s are getting about 385 whp on a mustang dyno with a intake and long tubes. I dont know about with a catback exhaust. If were in the market ...

@walhanQTR When I just got my c6 zo6 it took me a while to get used to it too. I lost to some slower cars that were to driver errors. Miss shifts and not using all of the revs etc.

I cant believe that the srt-4 guy did not have a passenger with him. Kind of unfair since the car is already ligther from the start. If you had add 160lbs to the neon it should slow it down some.

not that is matters but thats not a ZO6.

They modded the ZO6 to 400 crank hp to do two things. Get a estimated 40 mpg average and the give the Mustang shelby 2010 a fighting chance. It seems both accounts worked out well:)
