Aunt Thede played by great Jeanette Nolan, who would play Dirty Sally in Gunsmoke of the 1970's, and a veteran of classic television.

Chester on Gunsmoke sang a version of this song entitled "Run, Rabbit, Run" with no mention of the ni word. He sang the song in several different episodes including the epiode called Colorado Sherrif.

I'd like to dedicate this song to my good friend, Edie Hatch, who passed away on Sept 20, 2010. You've gone on to a much better place, but you are still missed over here. Peace and love.

Since when does a half hour tv show only have 4 minutes of commercials?? Must be from another planet!!! Even the syndicated Marshal Dillon episodes were only edited down to about 23 minutes. I want to go back to this bygone era.

That National Geographic : Love Those Trains was made in 1984. This Gunsmoke had to have been videotaped off the air from Channel 39 sometime after that. CBN owned that station for a while. WYAH Ch. 27 in Portsmouth,Va was the first tv station that Pat Robertson ever owned.

Take a look at the actor that plays the shyster lawyer. . . that's Ted Knight!!! He played Ted Baxter in the Mary Tyler Moore Show, and the magistrate in Caddyshack! Hey Lou!!

Mamie is played by Nina Varela, the same actress who played Ma Tennis in a previous episode.

My grandpa wouldn't miss Gunsmoke for anything!! Seeing these old episodes really brings back some nice memories of when I visited my grandparents. Thanks for posting the "Chesters"

These are the syndicated Gunsmokes repackaged under the title of Marshal Dillon. I only saw a couple of these back in the 70's. By then the new Gunsmokes were in color with Festus.
