@bucky468 - Exactly what I was thinking when I was listening to this. They maybe could duplicate the notes, but there's nobody but the Van Halen brothers that can duplicate this feel. Their father's influence really shows up on this one.

When is Michael Anthony gonna get the credit he deserves! His awesome bass playing is just as big a part of the VH sound as eddie, alex, dave's contributions. Plus, who could leave out the true one-of-a-kind VH trademark: The C-clamp on the nuts backing vocals! The highest voice you hear is ...

@MrStrik9detroit - Funny that you mentioned that. I've always felt the same way. There's something about this solo that grabs you. This one never gets talked about, yet it's one of his best.

Michael Anthony is so, so very under appreciated.

This is the best he's played and looked in a long, LONNNGGG time! He's playin' like ol' Eddie, instead of old Eddie.

@dethiphoptv - Incorrect. This was back when artists actually knew their craft. Olivia is one of the absolute best singers in history. She's so good live you'd swear nobody could be that perfect with pitch and tone, but she is.

@Alexltavares - I believe it's the other way around as this was recorded and released before the Band O' Gypsys was formed. The Band O' Gypys song (We Gotta Live Together) you're referring to also starts out with Jimi and Billy Cox playing the riff from Sly's "Sing a simple song"

Bobby Unser and Sam Posey couldn't agree on anything. Whatever Sam said, Bobby would would say the exact opposite (sometimes bluntly).

@tatsandteles - Thanks for the compliment. Since I'm a drummer, I agree wholeheartedly with your observation about Alex. I've always felt he was more than just a "bash & crash" type drummer.

I wonder how Ed feels knowing Frank Zappa threw him under the bus for all the world to see. Frank could've just said "internal conflicts", but to name names it must've really, REALLY pissed Frank off. Nobody wants the moniker "man who killed Zappa's last ever touring band".

I love how he checks to see if he's in tune @ 1:10. He cared that his guitar was in tune, only to torch and smash the thing into a million pieces 5 minutes later. Even in the chaos he cared about the music. Too funny.
