Shirley Alston Reeves was the lead singer, and still singing, at least she was three years ago.Thei was the first real all girls group before the crystals. I beleive they had more hits in the top 10 then any other girls group with maybe the xception of the Diana Ross.

16 Candles, Johnny died in March of 2011 I beleive he was 72 the group the Crest with Johnny singing lead. Johnny actually recorded this song in 1957 and released it in 1958.

The song was recorded originally and written by Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes in Philly, and is a better version in my opion then the new one. Just want Harold to get a little glory for a great song.

This guy is a real artist and champion the moves and balance wow. He's got a pretty good partner too.

So many groups covered this song but none could play it like CCR.

I saw Linda in 2000 in New York at Rockerfeller Center
