Please do note that I am visually impaired. I have a condition called Lebers Congenital Anmarosis. Basically, my retinas have never fully developed, making my vision a huge blur. I can see just enough to use a digital camera to shoot videos, and my computer is equipped with Job Access With Speech, or JAWS, which converts text to speech. I am grateful for what little vision I do have, even though everything to me is in black and white.

I advocate for persons with disabilities in my community. If I see something that is not wheelchair or blind accessible, for example, I will inform proper personnel that their business needs to be up to code with the ADA standards.

I also love animals, especially cats. I have 2 beautiful cats, whom I treat as children because I have no children, and I need to fill that maternal void, if you get my drift. Their names are Yogi-Boo and Snuffy. Yogi-Boo is a black and white domestic cat with a little bit of Persian in him. He's pretty laid back and reserved. He is easily frightened by strangers, and will hide in the presence of company, but once he gets to know a person, he will let that person love him. His fur is so soft, once you pet him, you can't stop. He's my bedtime buddy, and I'm glad to have him in my life. Then we have Snuffy. Snuffy is an orange tabby. He is the social butterfly of the two. He often gets into trouble, but he keeps me on my toes. He's got the purr of a motor boat, and he is quite a charmer. He is a sweet little guy, and I am glad to call him my own.

I say that everyday, we are faced with new challenges n life. With the right tools, and with the right attitude, we can take on challenges that await us. If you hold up your head, and simply say "Yes I can", you are ready to take on anything that gets in your way along your journey to success.

I also am always happy to talk one on one to anyone who just needs that special hug. I may not be a professional therapist, but I always try my best to help my loved ones feel better & spread a smile on their beautiful faces.
