@TheTruemouse stanley I was rather fond of reading about stanley steam cars when I was a kid (think 90's) and these steam cars were known to go in excess of 60Mph forward and backward (some people braked with the engine and ripped the chassis off O.o )

I've got about 4-5 Sparc systems like that SS2 SS5 SS10 a U1E and a U10 I'd like to fiddle with them someday perhaps write a little Sparc kernel... have you considered using a Static IPs and mac address filtering? maybe make a way to set that up easily on the SS20 like an ad...

@buchla300 no ... they couldn't analog components are already about as cheap as they get. You can't apply the kind of fabrication scaling to these as you can computers and other digital "junk" analog is complex and requires good componets you can't just make em cheap.

@FC360D acutally it would be true given what you have stated however there are faster CPUs like the A9 cores that are inherently faster even at lower clock rates. also the A9 models clock up to 1.5-2Ghz

@217ANGELES all A9 devices are generally 800Mhz or higher and most of them can clock to between 1.2 and 2Ghz

so are the drives acutally broken? I have a couple of those none with hyperSparc but the drives are all quite loud. Was that a clunking sound I was hearing though?

What support is missing exactly from Crusoe for i686 instructions? because it does in fact have an FPU I don't know where you heard that it doesn't. Its more likely that you were hitting other unsupported instructions. or something in -O2 was messing up the CMS

Giant Amazonian Millipede
This is a video taken in the Amazon Rainforest of Peru showing a giant millipede crawling on my hand.
That looks like some kind of armored millipede... very cool. Probably not at all poisonious though some can secrete stuff that burns the skin if they are threatened.
