Also, a comment on starting with boots: I think that comes from League of Legends players as well. In LoL, boots and 3 health potions is a legitimate starting build, because the extra movement speed can be used to dodge aimed abilities. In Dota that's basically never an issue.

I think having the improved interface of Dota 2 makes a difference for Bounty Hunter. In particular, it was very easy to accidentally deselect your hero in Dota 1 when using single-target abilities (like Shuriken Toss), and that can result in death. @jocke90901 The problem is actually the brush surrounding Baron. Baron can't see Mundo so he can't counter attack. Since that brush no longer exists, the range doesn't matter.

@agoodfedora I grew up without a chimney, and my parents never really tried to explain it. We were also known to get presents from Tony the Tiger and DangerMouse, so I'm not sure they ever really took the tradition seriously.
