Original music and cover songs by Chris Sporton. After an equipment and software upgrade, I decided to re-record some old songs I haven't really done justice to in the past and do some videos of cover songs for a promotional DVD.
I'm a 'one man band' - that is whilst I don't play cymbals with my knees, I play them with my sequencer. Generally I turn up at jobs with my guitars, microphone, sound module, computer and P.A. system, plug it all in and play the stuff I've previously sequenced into the computer.

Surprisingly for some, it actually all sounds like a full on band - a 'wall of sound' as someone described it. I normally play covers at weddings, parties and work social functions, but the best fun for me is to set all my gear up in my room at home, turn it up and play all of my original stuff live. On occasions I get to do this with an audience, and the feedback is a buzz.

How I Started...
I learnt classical piano as a youngster, and after being bored with this, as teenagers generally are, I decided rock music was more my style. I played in heaps of small bands playing covers and the occasional original.

Over the years, it became easier to play by myself. I tired of guitarists who wouldn't stop playing riffs in the breaks long enough to work out what we were actually going to play (I'm sure there are plenty that do but I never played with them) and drummers who thought they were Keith Moon but couldn't even keep time.

So I taught myself the guitar, discovered digital sequencing and set up the band. Over the years I've upgraded my equipment, and where I guess the sequences were a little mechanical sounding in the past (like karaoke tracks), digital sampling techniques have changed all of that.

Have a listen yourself. Watch the videos! Their amateur style doesn't necessarily detract from the music (but put some headphones on!)
